Welcome and Call to Worship Elder George Goff
And the Lord said unto them:
Verily, verily I say unto you, why is it that the people should murmur and dispute because of this thing? Have they not read the scriptures which saith, ‘Ye must take upon you the name of Christ,’ which is My name? For by this name shall ye be called at the last day, And whoso taketh upon him My name and endureth to the end, the same shall be saved at the last day. 3rd Nephi 12: 17,18
*Opening Hymn “Great and Marvelous are Thy Works” CCS 118
*Invocation Priest Peggy Clements
*Responsive Reading:
Leader: O Lord, our Shepherd, you are near; in safety we shall live.
ALL: To pastures green we follow you and all we need, you give.
Leader: The path of life we walk in peace; we know your tender care.
ALL: From waters clear, we drink our fill, and you refresh us there.
Leader: Your boundless love shall follow us, your mercy deep and wide,
ALL: till in your house we come to dwell forever at your side.

Prayer for Peace Emily Applin
Light the peace candle and prayer.
God of Peace, we pray this day for a transformation of the hearts, minds and souls of those in positions to lead their part of the world and yet cause untold anguish and injustice.
We pledge ourselves to you so your world can again mirror the splendor of your purpose for us – a land of peace and justice; a worldwide enterprise where goodness presides. As your people, we rejoice in your goodness as we pray: May it be so. In Jesus Christ, Amen.
Morning Message High Priest Tim Hogue

Disciples’ Generous Response Elder Jean Goff
God gives abundantly, and our response is to share generously with others.
During this Lenten season, we will focus on the six principles of A Disciple’s Generous Response. This week we will focus on “Share Generously.
Tithing is a spiritual practice. It is a gift of thanksgiving to God in response to God’s generous gifts to us. When we share our tithe, the church can spread joy, hope, love and peace around the world so others can experience God’s generosity too.
